The school

This is another chapter of the Pinocchio set design series:
in this scene Pinocchio is trying to go to school, but there he meets the bad-boy Lucignolo that talks him into running away and go having fun together.

School is dark and scary.... and this was supposed to be a painted curtain, that would have lifted, uncovering the next stage (which is the ToyTown). even the bricks panels on the sides are hiding the painted columns of checked-canvas behind.
